MCC_ChronicPainSupportLink is an independent discussion group/web based support and encouragement group for those who share a common life experience of Chronic Pain. Most members are affiliated with the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC) but the group is open to anyone with an interest in the subject.  The group's purpose is to provide a forum for support and understanding, to post information and generate discussion on a wide variety of topics relevant to the issue of Chronic Pain.  The group is not designed to be a professional group.  It is not an official program of the UFMCC and the opinions expressed do not reflect the official opinion of the UFMCC.  It is simply a peer to peer group designed to offer support and share information with one another.  It originated as an "affinity group" during the Regions 3 & 5 conference in Pittsburgh PA in 2006.  Those in attendance felt so encouraged by the experience that a decision was made to create a permanent web based forum for similar sharing.
